Syria’s New Government is ISIS
In a written statement, the KJK drew attention to the attacks and threats facing the Rojava revolution. It highlighted that ISIS was defeated, but hegemonic powers continue to manifest their plans in the region through HTS.
To Our People,
The genocidal attacks on Rojava is a decree of genocide directed against the 60 million Kurdish people and women. This offensive—which began with the attack on Aleppo and aims to dismantle the Autonomous Administration of Rojava and its self-defense forces—constitutes a genocidal mandate targeting all ethnic, gender, and religious identities. ISIS and the forces that organized it were defeated by the collective resistance of the Kurdish people, by the women, by faith groups, and the guardians of humanity. Rojava stands as an epic model for a free and equal life—not only in the Middle East but for the entire world—and represents the vision of the Kurdish people regarding how they wish to coexist with other peoples, faiths, and diverse identities.
Having shattered the Treaty of Lausanne—a colonial system that imposed denial, annihilation, and genocide upon the Kurdish people throughout the 20th century—at a great cost, the Kurdish people now enter the 21st century with the strength to secure their own political status. Hegemonic powers are now attempting to force a new “shroud” upon the Kurdish people. We will never accept this shroud, nor will we allow it to be imposed upon us.
We call out to our people: Rojava is Kurdistan!
We call upon all Kurdish parties and movements, women’s movements and organizations, and all our people to mobilize for the sake of Rojava and to form a “ring of fire” around it. It must be remembered that if Rojava falls, the genocidal attacks against the Kurdish people will spread to every part of Kurdistan. We are living through a historic moment. Let us respond to this genocidal assault with a resistance aimed at securing the status of the Kurdish people in the 21st century. We shall not lose. Through resistance, the Kurdish people will tear apart the shroud of genocide and emerge victorious. We will never accept any other fate or agenda.
We call out to women!
The women’s revolution in Rojava has emerged as a landmark in the entire history of women’s liberation; it stands as a fortress of freedom for women across the globe. Now, the HTS (Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham) and ISIS factions seek to topple this fortress through an invasion fueled by a level of misogyny unprecedented in history. Rise up against these Salafi-jihadists—who impose nothing but death and sexual enslavement upon women, and who pose a grave threat to women everywhere. Kurdish, Armenian, Alevi, Druze, and Yazidi women have launched a major new resistance in Rojava; with your solidarity, this struggle will culminate in yet another triumphant victory for women’s resistance.
We call out to the world!
Rojava is the homeland of greater humanity. Through the contributions and resistance of people from all over the world, of women, and of democratic forces, the conscious human achieved victory against ISIS. The genocidal assault launched against Rojava by HTS-ISIS factions is an attack on the values and the future of this greater humanity. Hegemonic powers have effectively turned ISIS into a government in Syria under the guise of HTS. Through the collusion of the International Coalition states, the Turkish state, and Gulf nations, Kurds, Alevis, Armenians, Druze, and women have been trapped in the grip of genocide. Raise your voices against this genocidal assault by HTS and Turkey, and against the complicity of the Coalition powers. Let us unite on a common front of resistance against this darkness being imposed upon humanity.
Victory will belong to the resisting Kurdish people.
Victory will be the collective achievement of women and all of humanity.
