Let Us Expand the Struggle for the Physical Freedom of Leader Ocalan
The Coordination of the KJK issued a statement regarding the conditions of isolation and torment being faced by Leader Ocalan on Imrali Island and warned that the 15 February Conspiracy has not ended but that it continues to attempt to maintain itself by changing forms.
We salute all those who have united around our Leadership’s resistance. We especially salute the women who have been upholding this resistance proclaiming to the world that the freedom of Leader Ocalan’s means the freedom of all segments of society. Our people and friends, particularly women and youth, have defeated the purpose of the international conspiracy through the struggle and resistance they have been waging for the past 27 years. Nevertheless, amidst this resistance and revival, the 15 February conspiracy continues in new forms and guises.
The Leader’s efforts toward a democratic solution and an honorable peace—which he has spent the last 27 years trying to develop despite the brutal conditions of total isolation on Imrali Island—have been met with new conspiracies time and time again. The Leader’s call on February 27, 2025, for a peaceful and democratic society has had positive impacts globally, prompting forces behind the 15 February conspiracy to launch fresh attempts to advance their agenda. The second version of the conspiracy—which began in Heleb (Aleppo) and is still ongoing—has targeted the humanitarian values created by the Rojava women’s revolution, the philosophy of a democratic, communal society developed by Leader Ocalan, and the democratic nation perspective that makes the coexistence of peoples possible. In the face of our struggle for women’s freedom, attempts are being made to block our progress through the creation of regimes similar to medieval monarchies and kingdoms—in collaboration with misogynistic terrorist groups such as ISIS, the Taliban, and Hay’at Tahrir al-Sham (HTS). The energy distribution policies of misogynist and colonialist powers aim to enslave the peoples—affecting women the most—through these arrangements. This conspiracy is intended not only to eliminate the Kurds and our revolutionary gains but also to wipe out the peoples of the Middle East—particularly those in Turkey—and the hope that blossomed with the February 27 call made by our Leader.
Leader Ocalan has prevented the conspiracy from achieving its goal and prevented genocide through the solutions he proposed in the wake of these attacks. Recognizing the threat of conspiracy and genocide across the four parts of Kurdistan, our people have united around Leader Ocalan and the Rojava women’s revolution with the spirit of national unity and a consciousness of the democratic nation, and have responded accordingly. We salute this resistance against the conspiracy—led by YPJ fighters and other warriors defending human dignity—as well as our people in the streets of Rojava who uphold the philosophy of the Leadership, and all women and friends who believe in the democratic nation and a life based on the liberation of women. We once again commemorate the martyrs of the Rojava resistance, represented by our heroic martyrs, Comrades Zeyad, Deniz, and Ahmet Hêmin Ömer, who are the latest representatives of the line of resistance.
As we mark the 28th anniversary of the February 15 conspiracy, we call on all of our people to intensify the struggle to secure the Leader’s physical freedom in the face of the second February 15 conspiracy, with a spirit of mobilization. Only through Leader Ocalan’s physical freedom can we put an end to genocidal policies. With the notion that “The Leader’s Freedom Is Our Freedom,” the realization of Leader Ocalan’s call for a peaceful and democratic society will bring about the revival of all peoples and women on the foundation of a free life, which will render all new attempts of the February 15 conspiracy meaningless. Creating the conditions for Leader Ocalan to lead the Peace and Democratic Process is the fundamental prerequisite for the success of this process.
On this basis, we call on all women to join the mobilization to build a democratic communal society and secure the Leader’s physical freedom.
