The KJK Coordination issued a written statement on Kurdish New Year Newroz, March 21st.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cWe welcome Newroz 2019 – said the KJK – which arrives after the resistance of millions of women who stood up on 8 March, World Working Women’s Day, chanting their slogan \u2018Jin Jiyan Azadi\u2019 (\u2018Woman, Life, Freedom\u2019) and supported Leyla G\u00fcven.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The KJK added: \u201cThe message sent by Z\u00fclk\u00fcf Gezen with his action is clear. Z\u00fclk\u00fcf Gezen imposed to each and every one of us to celebrate his memory and increase our struggle even further.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
We promise Z\u00fclk\u00fcf to carry on the struggle until we succeed. We extend our condolences to his family, and our people.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Newroz means Kurdish people’s uprising and struggle, said the KJK. \u201cContemporary resistance heroes such as Mazlum Dogan, Zekiye Alkan and Sema Y\u00fcce are the basis of today\u2019s resistance.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The history of Newroz is based on social, cultural and spiritual values. The action being carried out by thousands of revolutionaries and patriots is led by Leyla G\u00fcven with socialist personality. Leyla and the other friends are fighting for freedom and utopia, and to give everyone the chance to live a meaningful life.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
The historical legacy of March 8 and the resistance led by Blacksmith Kawa are the meeting point of the struggle for the free man and the free woman. Millions will be filling the squares on Newroz<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n The statement continued: \u201cWe know and expect that all squares will be filled with a spirit and responsibility on Newroz day up to the moment of resistance and struggle we are witnessing.
