\u2018Werisheh Moradi has represented the will of all imprisoned and freedom-loving women\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\nKJK recalled that Werisheh Moradi was arrested by the Iranian regime on August 1, 2023, and sentenced to death in November 2024. The sentence was overturned by a court in 2025.<\/p>\n
The statement noted that Moradi had made her voice heard by women and people around the world through her stance and resistance since the day of her arrest. By refusing to appear in court, she took an open and uncompromising stand against the state\u2019s unlawful practices and injustices, it said.<\/p>\n
The statement continued: \u201cThrough her resistance and determination, Werisheh Moradi has represented the will of all imprisoned and freedom-loving women held in the Iranian regime\u2019s prisons. In doing so, she has helped advance the struggle of women in prison in a more organized manner.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2018The regime uses execution as a threat against society\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\nThe statement stressed that the Iranian regime aims to intimidate women and deter them from pursuing their struggle for freedom through death sentences. These sentences, it added, are used as a means of exerting psychological pressure on prisoners.<\/p>\n
The KJK stated: \u201cThe regime uses execution as a threat against society. It sustains its existence by executing dozens of people every day on various grounds. In response to the external pressures and difficulties it faces, it seeks to prolong its rule by suppressing the uprisings by society and women through policies of repression, prohibition, torture, execution, starvation, and unemployment. In reality, this is a regime that has committed grave crimes against humanity and lost its legitimacy in every respect. Executions have become a daily practice for the regime. Through this method, it seeks to break the will of society and women.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2018The regime fears the power of women\u2019s struggle\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\nThe KJK stated that life in Iran is under constant threat due to the regime\u2019s policies, emphasizing that the hopes of women and young people for the future are being stifled by repression and death sentences.<\/p>\n
The statement noted that women face the harshest punishments when they step outside the boundaries imposed by the state: \u201cIn recent years, dozens of women activists and politicians have been arrested and executed. Death sentences have been issued against dozens of women, including Werisheh Moradi, Pakshan Azizi, and Nejme Em\u00een\u00ee. This regime is hostile to women, young people, and society as a whole. It is primarily because it fears the power of women\u2019s struggle that it is intensifying repression and executions.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2018As repression intensifies, so does society\u2019s struggle\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\nThe statement noted that the peoples of Iran and Rojhilat (East Kurdistan), particularly women, have been engaged in an ongoing struggle against the regime\u2019s policies, consistently voicing their demands for a democratic system and a life of freedom.<\/p>\n
The KJK stated that the regime responded to these demands with executions, adding: \u201cThrough a racist, religious fundamentalist, and sexist mentality, the regime seeks to suppress the democratic demands and uprisings of society and women. The more a state oppresses its own people and subjects them to fear, the more those people will continue their struggle against the regime and refuse to remain silent. As the regime intensifies executions, repression, bans, and arrests, society\u2019s resistance and struggle will only grow stronger.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u2018Zeinab Jalalian and Werisheh Moradi are symbols of resistance\u2019<\/strong><\/p>\nEmphasizing that women and young people have resisted the Iranian regime\u2019s policies for years, the KJK highlighted the struggle of Zeinab Jalalian, who has been imprisoned for 18 years.<\/p>\n
Jalalian has continued her resistance despite being deprived of her fundamental rights for years, the statement said, noting that the Iranian regime has been unable to suppress the impact of her struggle and a growing movement of resistance has emerged around her.<\/p>\n
The KJK stated that Werisheh Moradi and dozens of other women imprisoned in Iran have continued this struggle in recent years, adding: \u201cWerisheh Moradi and dozens of women held in different prisons across Iran are continuing and expanding this struggle. They have become symbols and pioneers of the \u2018Jin Jiyan Azad\u00ee\u2019 revolution.<\/p>\n
Their struggle and resistance have developed from a historical, social, and political legacy and are rooted in a profound foundation. The struggle and resistance of Kurdish women gained a universal dimension through the \u2018Jin Jiyan Azadi\u2019 (Woman, Life, Freedom) revolution, raising awareness around the world.<\/p>\n
No matter how hard the regime tries to silence the voice and suppress the influence of the \u2018Jin Jiyan Azadi\u2019 revolution, these policies will fail. This is because Iranian society possesses a profound potential and an inherent dynamic for change. This potential remains alive and is always open to transformation.\u201d<\/p>\n
Call to unite in the struggle against the Iranian regime\u2019s policy of executions<\/strong><\/p>\nThe KJK Coordination called on the democratic public and all freedom-loving women to unite in the struggle against the Iranian regime\u2019s policy of executions.<\/p>\n

\u201cAs the KJK, we appeal to the democratic public and all freedom-loving women: Do not remain silent in the face of these inhumane executions. Make your struggle more organized and comprehensive than ever before.<\/p>\n
Just as women everywhere stood together with one voice and a united stance in support of the \u2018Jin Jiyan Azadi\u2019 revolution, they must now stand by the pioneers of that revolution, defeat the policy of executions, and put an end to it.<\/p>\n
